Apologies - must be some 'new light' they heard of. I would think that it'll take a while to put in place though - it'll be sometime before they understand the 'new light' of ATtrition, let alone CONtrition.

The permanent absence of "we" in their literature speaks volumes.
- Your evil (not us)
- They're evil (not us)
- You did it (not us)
- They did it (not us)
- It must have been the zealous brothers (not us)
- The false prophecies must have been those 'other' brothers (not us)
- The pedophiles coverers must have been those (not us)
In the words of the truly wicked "See to that yourself, what is that to us".
There's no "we" in their world - it's always someone else.
And when you really look into it - they're right, the place is dead empty, no one there - it's only talk.

Basically any 'darkness' of the mind to the light of truth.
In modern language it could be described as unintelligence to spirit, whether it be active or passive.

Why are all angels in JW publications male?
by kenpodragon inwhy are all angels in jw publications male?
i was thinking about this today, as i notice other christian religions show angels as male and female.
do you think that this was another way of showing how males were superior to females in their teaching, or that their god "jehovah" was more favorable to the male appearance.

There are reasons for sexual distinctions in the bible.
- Seed is male
- Soul is female
- satan is the other seed - male
- God is Spirit - a male sense denoting paternity (eg Jesus)
- Our souls are female - e.g. the widow (previous spouse of spirit)
There's definite reasons for it in the bible.

WHAT MAKES YOU THE ANGRIEST?
by minimus inat times we all get angry.
sometimes our anger is inappropriate, as when a parent loses control and beats their child.
there are situations that may rightfully get us angry.

I'd say the jdubs nextdoor. No one else has ever illicited such anger from me. I've never met the likes of them in my life. But I'm sure there's a purpose to it, maybe to teach me about anger and possession.

The Word is living, and you don't need all of it at once. I have no problem with looking at even one word on it's own, but the way you hear is what it is - it doesn't matter if you read a sentence or a whole book.
Fact is, if that's the way your headed, then that's simply "how you hear".
"take heed then how you hear, for to him who has more will be given"
And the best bit
"for him who has not, even the little he has will be taken away"
Now is that good news or what. Depends on how you hear, eh? LOL
paduan
That Jesus absolutely cracks me up sometimes. It's the best news that I have ever heard in my life. But it depends on how you hear it. LOL

by Jesika ini was cleaning the house and since our roommate works 3rd shift i have to do this quietly since he sleeps during the day.
i can't have the radio blasting or the tv on really loud so i clean in silence, which tends to make the mind wonder.. here was my thought, might be dumb but here goes------------.

Tribulation is not the same as persecution. "Behold, famine and plague, tribulation and anguish are sent as scourges for the correction of men." (for their good).
The tribulation is saving chastisement, for mankind to understand the truth of themselves. No sign shall be given to the evil generation except the sign of Jonah, and the sign of Jonah is a tribulation such as there has never been before - a living hell, with a difference. Anyone who has truly experienced the meaning of Easter Saturday will undoubtedly never be the same again. It is the descent into hell, where a person is forsaken. " My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" In a sense, the knowledge that your for hell, not heaven, and accept it to be as so.
And it is amplified by those who use the sword (wield the scriptures).
"A man shall have no pity upon his neighbors, but shall make an assault upon their houses with the sword (the word), and plunder their goods (earned works), because of hunger for bread (God) and because of great tribulation" (the necessary chastisement that God provides).
It is different from persecution, in that it involves the word, and it is not a light matter for anyone suffering under it " we ourselves shudder as we hear of the tribulations of these young men; they not only saw what was happening, yes, not only heard the direct word of threat"
Yet through the forsakeness, the word that is "kept" in the heart of His sheep all the time is -
" you promised that if we should have reverses, and tribulation should overtake us, you would listen to our petition when we come to this place and pray"
But, as the sign of Jonah shows it won't be over on the first 'day'.
"When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the LORD your God and obey his voice"
Yes, it is in Revelation - in another place.
"I John, your brother, who share with you in Jesus the tribulation and the kingdom"

The tactic of the GB is do say anything that will enhance and provide themselves with an impression of their glory.
Within this mindset - ANYTHING "fulfills prophecy" for them.
- If people stay then jah's org is great - if they leave they've waxed cold.
- If times are good, jah loves them - if times are bad it's jah chastising.
- If they ever helped someone, their loving people - if they don't then they're rightfully waiting on jah.
- If their bible reading appears right, they're obviously jah's chosen - if it's obviously wrong, welll, jah said that they'd be imperfect.
- If jws appear 'good' it's because they're jah's people - if they don't then jah did say that there would be evil ones among them.
- If people speak well of them, it's because they're jah's chosen - if people don't speak well of them it's because of satan persecuting.
It's called "spin" - turn it around fast enough and you can see the bits you want all the time.
Which brings me to an interesting point - to a jw persecution is just like their righteousness - all talk.
They are so rejecting of the light of truth, that to speak truthfully about them is persecution that must be avoided - so they turn around and go straight back to the dark, where glory abounds.
Are there any people on this earth more deluded than dubdom? I haven't met them yet.
